Draft agreement on rational use of Balkhash-Alakol basin prepared
Making a speech at a roundtable in the Senate of Kazakhstan’s Parliament Minister of Environmental Protection Nurlan Iskakov stated that Kazakhstan, China and Kyrgyzstan prepared an agreement on rational use of the Balkhash-Alakol basin
According to the Minister, ecological consequences of the basin’s stability may become catastrophic for all the three states. Thus, Kyrgyzstan and China are interested in cooperation with Kazakhstan in the solution of this problem.
